Who we are
Disciplined Entrepreneurship (d-eship.com) is the official website for the Disciplined Entrepreneurship methodology, maintained by Performikon SRL on Bill Aulet’s behalf.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: first name, last name, email, subject, and message, with an opt-in checkbox for future emails.
- Educator materials request: first name, last name, email, job title, organization name and website, organization type, city, country, program details, and message, with an opt-in checkbox for future emails.
- Newsletter signup: first name, last name, and email address, to send the newsletter and confirm your subscription.
- Comments: name, email, IP address, and browser user agent, which WordPress collects by default for spam detection. If you use Gravatar, a hashed version of your email may be checked against Gravatar’s service.
- Site analytics: aggregate traffic data via Google Analytics.
- Spam protection: your IP address and browser data may be processed by our spam-detection tools to block abuse.
Where your data goes
Your data is stored in trusted third-party systems: Brevo, for marketing communications, and Google Sheets, as a backup record. We do not sell your data and do not share it outside these systems.
Tools we use
- Brevo: sends the newsletter and manages our email list.
- Google Sheets: keeps a backup record of form submissions.
- n8n: runs the automation and data-cleaning that moves a form submission into Brevo and Google Sheets.
- Google Analytics: aggregate site traffic.
- Akismet and Cloudflare Turnstile: spam and abuse detection on comments and forms.
- Gravatar: profile pictures on approved comments, if you use the service.
Cookies
On your first visit, a banner tells you how we use analytics, and your choice is stored in a cookie for a year so the banner does not appear again. The cookies the site needs in order to function are always set. If your device is set to a European time zone, other than the UK’s or Switzerland’s, Google Analytics collects nothing and sets no cookies until you allow it. Everywhere else, Google Analytics runs from your first page view, and you can turn it off with Opt out on the banner. In the version we use (Google Analytics 4), Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. You can change your choice at any time: Privacy Preferences.
How long we keep your data
Form submissions and list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them, so follow-up comments from the same person are recognized automatically.
Your rights
Under GDPR, if you are in the EU/EEA, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to how we use it, and you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Under the CCPA, if you are a California resident, you can ask what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email disciplinedentrepreneurship@gmail.com. Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
